Coordinotes
Coordinotes are photo notes left at real places. You only see them when you go there, and you can only leave one where you stand.
How it works
- The radar on the home screen shows spots around you. Walk towards one: when you're close enough (about 40 metres) it opens.
- Once you've opened a spot in person, you can look at it again from anywhere.
- To post, tap Post a coordinote here and take a photo. If there's no spot where you stand, your coordinote starts a new one.
- You can post at the same spot again after 30 days.
Questions
The radar says I'm there, but the spot won't open. GPS can be off by tens of metres, especially between tall buildings or indoors. Step outside or wait a moment for a better fix.
Why does a coordinote say "unverified"? We check that photos look like they were taken at the spot. Photos we can't be sure about are shown as unverified rather than removed.
Why can't I choose a photo from my gallery? A coordinote means you were there, so photos come straight from the camera.
Someone posted something that shouldn't be there. Tap … on their coordinote and choose Report. It disappears for you straight away, and we look at every report. A coordinote that several people report is hidden for everyone until we've reviewed it.
I don't want to see someone's coordinotes. Tap … on one of them and choose Hide this person's coordinotes. Nobody is told, and only you stop seeing them.
How do I delete a coordinote, or my account? Tap the bin on your own coordinote. To delete your account and everything you've posted, tap your account button at the top of the home screen, then Delete account. See privacy for what that removes.
